Ana R. Bugan is an associate in Jenner & Block’s Chicago office. She is a member of the Firm’s Litigation Department and White Collar Criminal Defense and Counseling Practice.

Kenyon Undergrdauate Years

Ana Bugan received her A.B., magna cum laude, from Kenyon College with the Class of 1991. She was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and graduated with High Honors in Political Science. She was awarded the John Chestnut Memorial Prize in Political Science in 1991.

Later Career

Ms. Bugan earned an A.M. in Political Science from the University of Chicago, where she was the recipient of the Olin and Bradley Fellowships and was awarded the Joseph Cropsey Prize for the Outstanding Master’s Thesis in Classical Political Philosophy. Ms. Bugan earned her J.D. in 2002 from Harvard Law School, where she served as an executive editor of the Harvard Law Review.

Before joining the Chicago law office of Jenner & Block, Ms. Bugan served as a law clerk to the Honorable Matthew F. Kennelly, United States District Judge for the Northern District of Illinois. Ms. Bugan is fluent in Spanish and French.
