Christopher D. Barth currently works as Executive Director of Library and Information Services at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa.

After graduating from Kenyon with High Honors in History, Chris attended graduate school at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where he received the degrees of Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) and Master of Arts in History. After working as Librarian for the Anchorage Daily News in Anchorage, Alaska, Chris returned to work at Kenyon as Librarian and Technology Consultant in 1999. In 2002, Chris assumed the position of Director of Information Resources. He departed Kenyon in July 2006 to take his current position at Luther College.

While employed at Kenyon, Chris also taught a course on the History of Kenyon College was a member of the Kenyon Presidential Search Committee during the 2002-03 academic year, and serves on Kenyon's Presidential Advisory and Communication Team where he served as founding Co-Chair in the 2004-05 academic year. Off-campus, he served as chair of the Five Colleges of Ohio Library Committee for 2005-06, and served as Secretary for the College Libraries Section of the Association of College and Research Libraries, a division of the American Library Association for the 2005-06 academic year.
